NYC PRIDE MARCH 2017
On Sunday afternoon June 25th, a rainbow of New Yorkers hit the streets with bursting pride, celebrating the LGBTQ community. We from UUCHV were 26 marchers, adorned with rainbow leis, ribbons and glitter. The march route ended on Christopher Street in Manhattan’s West Village, to commemorate the riots that broke out there in 1969 after police raided the Stonewall Inn (pictured here). The event was seen as a major turning point in the gay rights movement. New York’s first Pride march took place a year later.Making our way past colorful crowds, it was a beautiful day in New York!
HAPPY PRIDE!
