November Share the Plate

For the month of November, UUCHV will “Share the Plate" with CHHOP - Caring for the Homeless and Hungry of Peekskill. Established in 1988, CHHOP is an organization committed to alleviate the hunger and homelessness in the Peekskill area community by providing temporary housing for homeless adults and referring clients to appropriate agencies to assist then in attaining independent living.

CHHOP currently operates five programs:

*Jan Peek House Shelter for the Homeless

* Fred’s Pantry at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

* Health Care for Homeless Veterans

* Turning Point

* Rapid rehousing for domestic abuse victims
